Michelin Guide Sharing Plates in Urmston – Restaurant Örme
From tasting menu to sharing plates 🍽️
If you haven’t been to Restaurant Örme since they changed their concept, it’s definitely worth another visit! I went along on a PR invite to try the new menu. This modern British Michelin Guide spot in Urmston has moved away from its tasting menu and now focuses on sharing plates, making it feel much more like the neighbourhood restaurant they set out to be.

The ale and malt loaf with Marmite butter is an absolute must-order. It was served warm, and I’d seriously recommend getting one per person. We also loved the black pudding and haggis Scotch egg, while the beef tartare was beautifully balanced.

The lamb was the standout of the meal, especially with the sweet and sour mint that brought everything together, and the trout special was so delicate and perfectly cooked.

Make sure you leave room for dessert too. The upside-down treacle tart and dark chocolate mousse were the perfect finish. They recommend ordering around two to three dishes per person, and it was more than enough.
