I think I’ve just found Manchester’s only Hong Kong-style lamb rice noodle soup at Heart Noodles (開心米線)! All their soup bases are freshly made in house, and you can really taste the difference.
This is my first time seeing lamb in a Hong Kong-style noodle soup, and it was so good! The lamb is so tender and goes perfectly with the sauerkraut. If lamb’s not your thing, they also do pork or chicken bases, with the option to go sour-spicy or numbing-spicy, and you can add extra toppings.
Another highlight is their cold dishes. I’d definitely recommend the sliced pork with garlic sauce, which pairs so well with the soup. Their menu might be simple, but honestly it’s more than enough.
I’m a food junkie from Taiwan and blog my experience eating at restaurants which are mostly based in Manchester and across the UK.
