I’ve been looking for a good Sunday roast outside Manchester city centre and found this spot in Ramsbottom! The Sunday menu at the Eagle & Child is simple: you can choose from lamb, chicken or beef. Make sure you add the extra to get the braised beef stuffed Yorkshire pudding, which is so worth it. Highly recommend!
I know it’s not conventional, but I really like that you can upgrade the roast beef to steak, which is perfect if you’re after a bigger portion of meat with your Sunday dinner. The thing I enjoyed the most was their gravy: great flavour and thickness.
They also have a lovely beer garden out the back, which is perfect for sunny days ☀️
